The Importance of Community
What if we served our community’s so well that we led the places of deficit into wholeness, and the places of sickness into health? Is it possible to see the problems today become the history of tomorrow?
At the end of the day its not about what we get out of the world for ourselves, but what we can give to it! We should leave it better than we found it and in doing that we become better people as well.
Contributing More Than Dollars
We believe it is possible. Here at Ellerman Brands we partner with some of the greatest charities and causes in our community. Ropin Rascals is an event hosted by the Huwa Family held every May in Colorado for children with special needs. They get the opportunity to come to the Huwa ranch and experience the western way of life in a fun safe environment. Past events have raised over $100,000 for charities such as Colorado Suns with Special Needs and Make-A-Wish Colorado. This past year, Texas Saddlery donated belts for each kid to take home to have a token of remembrance.
Every January, you can find the Ellerman Brands team at Children’s Hospital Colorado for the annual Children’s Hospital Colorado Rodeo Experience organized by, Jason and Gin Stoneback where cowboys, cowgirls, queens, music artists and more come to the hospital. We love serving the kids of our communities and if we can’t get them to the rodeo, we will bring the rodeo to them!
We all know that the curveballs of our human experience can hit us when we least expect it and it is important to us to give a hand up to those that have been knocked down. The Denver Rescue Mission is just that. As it states in their mission statement:
“The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.”
They provide emergency services, housing, and education to name a few to provide the tools for these people need to get back on there feet and back into society. We are proud to get behind and contribute in various ways to this great organization.
Cause of the Quarter
Every quarter our team will find a cause that a portion of our sales goes directly to for the purpose of benefiting our rodeo family our community and any noble cause that is contributing to bettering our world.
